This isn't the first book that mentions our services, but it's probably the best so far.  This book is great for anyone looking for a job, or for those of you who are looking for some guidelines on how to job search and have a digital presence this day and age.  The paper resume is dying quickly, you need to know the stuff in this book if you want to have an edge in your job search.  Some of the tricks and techniques in this book literally let you see jobs before they are posted on big sites like monster, indeed, etc.

How To Add Your Vine Profile Link To Your ItsMyURLs Profile

Currently it takes a few steps to add your Vine Profile link to your ItsMyURLs link list.  Once Vine makes it easier with a direct web URL, you won't have to do this.  For now, this works and if you want to make a link that people can click on and get to your Vine profile, this is the best way!  Let's get started, first we need to figure out your Vine ID number (Vine profile link).

1. Finding Your Vine Profile Link And Copying It.

Open the Vine app on your mobile device, go to your own profile by selecting "profile" from the top drop down menu.

We get a lot of questions about the QR Code feature that we offer, this post should explain just about everything.  Trust me, it's a great way to get others to find you on all of the sites listed on your IMU profile, it's innovative and we are the only company to offer the feature quite like this.

First off, the question that some of you may have is, what is this barcode on my IMU profile??  It's called a QR (Quick Response) code, and it can be scanned with a mobile device (use one of the many free QR scanning apps in the app store, or Google goggles for android).  In most cases these codes are scanned with your mobile device, then take you to some kind of promotional advertisement, video, or other marketing type page.  It's definitely cool that you don't have to type in a link on your phone to go to a web page.

So what happens when someone scans your ItsMyURLs QR code that comes with your profile??  Anyone that scans your QR code instantly gets to the mobile version of your profile, so that they can choose to connect with you on any of the profile links that you have listed!  Did you get that?....I said, all anyone has to do to connect with you on Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin, Pinterest, etc is to pull out there phone and scan a barcode!  Pretty cool stuff.

To expand on the idea, you can place your QR code on your business cards, marketing materials, billboards, banners, and anything else that you think people could scan from.  You can see how many people have scanned your QR code, and from what region of the country and world at anytime by logging into your profile and clicking on "view analytics" from your dashboard area.

So the concept of the one click, and now ONE SCAN to get someone to access all of your social profiles and links is included for free in our service to all of our users!  Try this, pull up your ItsMyURLs profile on your smartphone, scroll to the bottom where your QR code is located, have a friend open a QR app on their phone and have them scan it right from your screen....presto!   

Like the late, great Steve Jobs would say.....Oh, ONE MORE THING.  We also offer an upgrade to the traditional black and white QR code, to a custom branded one with your own image inside of it!  The ultimate branding tool this day and age, a code that people can scan, with a picture of yourself, your logo, or anything that you want inside of it!  To upgrade, you can login to your ItsMyURLs account, click on "brand QR" from the dashboard panel.  It is a paid feature, but well worth it, we need to design your image inside of your QR code as well as test it on many different smartphones and QR apps to make sure it scans great.  We have some really great stuff planned in the near future for your QR code.

Keep in mind that you won't be able to scan any of these unless you click on one of them and have it by itself on the page, otherwise your QR reader will get confused if there are more than one QR code in view.

Dashboard - Adding Your Bio, Account Info, and Changing Your Password

In this post I will explain 2 different dashboard tiles, the "Edit Profile" and "Account Settings" on ItsMyURLs.  They are pretty much self-explanatory, but I will eventually get through every dashboard tile option.

Edit Profile:

To edit your profile info, select the Edit Profile and the popup will come up with the profile info options in it.

In the "profile info" tab which is the default tab you can enter your full name, date of birth (this helps us show relevant ads on your profile), gender, and location.

After you finish that tab, click on the "biography" tab and enter some info about yourself.  People see this info when they go on your profile and click on the "user info" tab.

Account Settings & Change Password:

Select the "account info" tile in order to pull up these settings.

• The first box shows your current email address on file.  It's important that you keep this updated as this is the email address that we will send you a password recovery email as well as our email newsletter.
• Below that are two input boxes where you can change your password.  Just enter the same password twice and click save in order to change it.
• The final option is for "email notifications", it's a toggle button that you can turn on or off.  This is not to disable our newsletter.  This is built in for future use of our soon to be released notifications center (hush hush stuff....stay tuned).

Dashboard - Adding, Editing, and Deleting a Link To Your ItsMyURLs Profile

I'm going to explain some of the "Dashboard" features in our new ItsMyURLs 2.0 layout in the next few blog posts.  This will be the first one, the most important one, how to add links!

First things first, in order to toggle between your profile and the dashboard, click on the arrow next to your username in the top right menu bar, and select the page you want to view from the dropdown menu.

Now to add links, from your dashboard select "Add A Link".  

Next, choose the appropriate link type from the top menu bar inside the popup menu.  For most links you leave the default, but for links to your AIM, Skype, Instagram, and Email, make sure you select them from the menu.  

Once you select the correct type, fill in the two boxes below with whatever it prompts you to and click "add a link" to save it.

After you add a link you can edit, delete, or sort any of your links by selecting the "edit, delete, sort links" option from the dashboard.  To delete or edit a link, click on the link you want to delete or edit and a popup will come up prompting you to make edits and save it, or click on the red delete button to delete it.

To change the sort order of your link list in the way that it shows in your profile, click and drag the arrow next to the link you want to move and drag it to wherever you want on the list.

Announcing "ItsMyURLs 2.0"!  

Some of you may know that a few weeks ago we launched a new design and some new features at ItsMyURLs.  Let me tell you a little bit more about it, because we are really excited about it and the reaction so far!  We think you're gonna love it.

We recreated and simplified a new "user dashboard" that is the first thing you see when you login.  This is the page where you make all edits to your profile like adding links, background photo, profile photo, etc.  We decided to separate the profile page and the dashboard in this design to make things easier when inputting your profile info and links.  After you make any changes to the dashboard, you can view your profile and see how it looks.

One of the cool new tools you need to check out is our overhauled "Analytics" page.  Besides simplifying your online profile, helping you understand who is viewing you online, and where they are viewing you, is one of the reasons you use ItsMyURLs. While on your dashboard, click on "view analytics" to get to the new analytics page.  You'll see the clean look, and easy to access data that is is easy to read and digest.  You can see how many people click on your links, which ones they click on, what time, and all sorts of other data.  Providing you with a simple way to let others find you on your social profiles is only half of the full circle.  With analytics, we provide you with the information that you need to be able to see what's going on behind the scenes with your links.

We have built our new design from the ground up.  We recoded our service so that it is now a "responsive" interface, which means that no matter what size screen you pull up the site on, it will fit and adapt to the screen size.  Take a look at Pitbull's profile on your computer, and then on your mobile device, and even on your tablet, and you will see how the layout adapts to the screen size. Check it out with our newest celebrity user Pitbull.  ItsMyURLs.com/Pitbull

One thing that you will notice about ItsMyURLs now is SPEED!  The pages load way faster, as well as anything on the dashboard including adding links, photos, etc.  This is due to our switch from traditional hosting to a cloud based infrastructure solution.  We're in the cloud! Being in the cloud lets us handle the growing demand of our service, give your followers excellent response no matter how many clicks on your ItsMyURLs link, and expand our servers "on-demand".  

These are only a few of the new features, design changes, and updates that are included in this launch.  We've got a lot of great things to come.  I will be blogging again later about the new stuff, how they work, and how you can take advantage of them.  Thanks for your support!

Our role in the partnership will be to provide all Interscope recording artists with profiles on ItsMyURLs, access to full profile analytics (in Beta), and unique "Verified Interscope Artist" Badges on the profiles of the artists. We will work in conjunction with the Interscope marketing team as well as the individual artist's marketing teams. We have been working on some great new features at ItsMyURLs that we think our current users are going to love, and new users will really see what sets us apart from anyone else.  You can click on the link above to see a PDF document that goes over some of these new features, and has some other info regarding ItsMyURLs.

Lots of News!

I'm not even going to get into how bad I am with consistently blogging, as I have made attempts in the past 9 months, with no success, the startup life is a whirlwind! So I apologize for all ItsMyURLs fans and users up front.

I'll list our site updates, some cool stuff like events and media

coverage from the past 9 months, and then I will briefly talk about what is in store for the future.

Since this last blog, we have updated and overhauled the whole site, from the homepage, to the profiles. Now there are pretty much only 3 different pages, one is the new

homepage, next is the search/browse page (currently being redesigned), and finally the profile pages. We moved the "share" buttons to be underneath the user's link list, since we added a few more options to the sharing, we needed more space, and really liked how they worked out in the new spot (the old spot where is now the "about" section, & can now have as many words as you want in it).

We consolidated pretty much every single profile option into the top "slider panel", as soon as you login, the panel will drop down, and is ready for you to add more links, grab code to a profile badge, change your photo, or background, and every other option (there is no need to go to any other pages). We felt that there was a need to centralize everything so that the user has a sort of "mission control", and doesn't need to search for anything this time around.

We have added a few more "badges" to the current badge lineup, but I want to quickly go over the new QR code that we supply each user, for free.

A QR code (quick response) is one of those funny looking square barcodes that you see on marketing materials, you can scan it with a QR scanner app on your smartphone, and you will be directed to some kind of company promotional material, video, etc. What we have done is supplied our users with what we call a "Social Identity QR Code". This means that you have one QR code, that when scanned with a QR scanner app on a smartphone (android, ios, and blackberry), you will be redirected to a "Mobile Optimized" version of your profile, that connects people immediately with all of your social profiles, NO SEARCHING NEEDED, NO TYPING. Now all existing users and all new ones, have a QR code on their profile, once logged in you can click on the "QR code" option from the drop down slider, and get the link to your QR code to use it in an email signature, grab the embed code to put it on your site, and even right click and save the image, print it, put it on business cards, t-shirts, stickers, laptop covers, marketing materials, etc, etc.

We also offer a "branding/customizing" option for your QR code, since you have one place that holds all of your social identity profiles, you now have a QR code that should be personalized so that people know that when they scan that code, it has to do with you. Once you are logged in, you can click on the "Customize QR" button, pay the one time fee, then email us the image that you want inside your QR code, we will email you the finished product. You can view Serena Williams' Branded QR Code on our homepage, scan it, see how cool it is! You can also login and see how many clicks your QR has had (adding geographic tracking data soon!).

We have done a TON of events in the past 9 months, from Boston, to Hollywood, to San Francisco, and more. Check out our Facebook Fan Page to see the pics, and videos of the events as well as our new "Startup Van", we got a conversion van, put our logo and QR codes all over it, and have been driving it to any west coast events. (special thanks to Steve T., Anabella A., David K., Jack K., Lousine, F.A.M.E., and of course my Co-Founder/Partner Harout K., for heading up all of the events, among all else, and killing it!!!).

Stay tuned, next month we are doing something cool, Harout & Steve are going to "Crash" Silicon Valley, they are heading out to Silicon Valley for the next few months to get into the heart of the industry, and make some noise like they have in Los Angeles, we will update frequently on our Facebook Fan Page, and Twitter with pics, givaways, events, and more!

Our numbers have been though the roof, we are one of the top 95,000 websites in the world, and 20,000 in the United States, have more celebrity users, and more users period than most funded internet companies (we are not funded), our celebrity user's actually tweet their links and use our service frequently. We have had to upgrade our servers 3 times since my last blog post due to high traffic volume (growing pains, lol).

We have met some great people that have helped us expand big time, they know who they are, I cannot name you all here, nor do I want to give away my secret weapons, lol. But I sincerely thank you.

For the near future, we are going to upgrade some things with the profiles, we will make the slider panel seem more "app like" by adding icons to all options, as well as add a bunch more options. You will soon be able to see where the people came from that are actually clicking on the links on your profile, how many visited your profile, and more analytics. We are going to make the white background a little bit see through for those with custom background pics, in order for your custom background come through and add a little bit more personalization to your profile while still keeping the uniform profile look (think, the right hand column on the new twitter profiles). It's been taking a while, but we will be launching what a lot of you have been asking for, our "widget", which pulls all of the links from your ItsMyURLs profile and displays them on your blog, or other html site in a small window (check out the one on this blog in the top right).

We have all been working our asses off, and the results are more than we could have ever expected, and can't wait to see where we take ourselves in the next few months! Special special thanks to our west and east coast teams, family members for all of their support from friends, girlfriends, wives, and users for their support of our dream that has affected millions of people in this world (our links have been visited and clicked on millions of times)!!

New Updates to all ItsMyURLs Profiles.

The Updates include:

*ability to add a background image

*each link has a "hit counter" underneath it while logged in, that shows how many clicks each link has gotten. (everyone started at zero on 07.03.10, as we weren't collecting this data before).

*the ability to add as many "twitter friends" to your profile as you want.

*the ability to drag and drop your links in your link list in any order that you want.

*the ability to email a profile to people, or all of your gmail or yahoo contacts without leaving the ItsMyURLs profile that you are on.

*all edits to your profile come up in a shadow box, so you don't have to leave your profile page for anything.

As some of you may know, we proudly sponsored "The Core Dj's Retreat 2010" in Orlando FL, at the Marriot Convention Center on 5.7.10-5.10.10. If you're not familiar with The Core DJ's, it is an affiliation of the most influential DJ's in the world, with divisions in the US, Germany, Africa, Modeling Division, among others. The event turned out great! We met some of the world's greatest DJ's, some cool artists, beautiful models, among other great people. The feedback that we got about the site was unbelievable, many many compliments, which turned into many new happy users. I'll post a link in the bottom of this post to photos from the event, and some videos as well. Myself and my team worked our butts off, and we are all extremely happy with the results. After this event, actually this past week, we pitched a partnership project to the C.E.O. of "The Core DJ's", Tony Neal, about creating a "Core DJ Directory, powered by ItsMyURLs.com". Tony liked the idea, and we are in the data collection process and plan to showcase how an ItsMyURLs "Layered" system would work with the Directory. Special thanks to Tony Neal for having an open mind and seeing our vision, and working with us to get this done (details will be released soon). While we were in Orlando, some of our team members in Boston and Los Angeles kept everything together for us while we were out of town. Status of ItsMyURLs

It has been months...maybe almost a year since my last actual blog post, before the video that I just posted. So there is kind of a lot that has happened with ItsMyURLs, myself, and my team since then. Let me start by saying that we have gained many valuable connections and friendships so far on this journey, including partners, clients on our site that are now friends, people that we've met at events, etc. We are thankful and grateful for these new relationships, and are extremely thankful for EVERYONE who has helped support ItsMyURLs since the beginning, as well as the new people on the way, we couldn't have gotten to this point without your support. You might be saying "what point is ItsMyURLs at"?. Let's just say that I just returned home from Hollywood CA, from the "Iron Man 2" movie premiere to promote the site, yes I was on the red carpet with all the big shots, actors, and other celebrities (thanks to friend, actor Faizon Love, whom I met through ItsMyURLs). We have come from being just an idea a little over a year ago, into a Company that is beating fully funded, similar type companies (we are self funded, keep in mind). My team is exceptional, and none of us could have done it without each other. Since I last posted, myself, and partners Harout Khandjian (Chief Financial Officer), and Mukhtar Mohamed (Chief Marketing Officer), we have welcomed Phil Kokoska into our Company as a partner and Chief Technology Officer. Phil is a major asset to our company in many ways, he brings his technological and marketing expertise to the table, and has added extreme value to the site.

As mentioned, our site has user's including Hollywood Celebrities like Faizon, to Models like Ice T's Wife Coco, the CEO of "The Core DJ's" Tony Neal, to Grammy Award Winning DJ Kid Capri. We do have these big names on our site, and it is great, but our foundation of users also consists of Models, Actors, Musicians, Artists, Techies (including one from Mashable.com) and pretty much any occupation in between. And we value each and every one.

We have been interviewed by newspapers (next boston globe), had many events, launch parties, and much much more. We have blown away sites that tried to imitate us, right out of the water, and will continue to do so.

Our site design has completely changed, which is part of our vast growth (we are currently recoding and redesigning the site again), since our redesign in January of 2010, we have moved up from being one of the top 6 million sites in the United States, to being one of the top 100,000 websites in the United States in 4 months. And show no signs of slowing down, in fact, we see signs of exponential growth on the horizon.

I don't want this to sound like a post that I am bragging, but these are great accomplishments for us that I would just like to be documented in this post.

I am sure that I have forgotten to post some of our other accomplishments from this past year, but I will be posting much more frequently now.

What can I say, this is my first blog post.....ever! My name is Eddy Inserra, I am the CEO and Co-Founder of www.itsmyurls.com. I will use this blog to post updates on the site, any info that I find interesting about the industry, and maybe some random stuff. If you have a bunch (or even a few) social network profiles, webpages, blogs, or any other websites that you are connected to, promote, or just happen to go to a lot, then you should check out ItsMyURLs.com. Our site is of simple design, function, and purpose. With social networks popping up all the time, we all keep adding to our online presence. With each social network, every user gets there own profile page (or URL), this info is seemingly getting harder to relay to everyone as we are all adding new sites to our name. At ItsMyURLS, you create a profile, add all of your URL's and websites, add one photo, and some about you info. In return, you get the last URL that you will ever need, your "ItsMyURLs link", this is posted under every user's profile photo. Anywhere that you paste this URL, people will be redirected to your ItsMyURLs profile page, which will take them to all of your social networks and webpages! In the next post I will explain, some of the uses of the site.
